General information

SOWebSign.ocx is an ActiveX control that allows to embed eSignatureOffice in HTML pages. It accepts input data in the same XML format as SOSecureSign.ocx (see Input-XML).

Installation

The WebSign requires the full version of eSignatureOffice, you can either use the eSignatureOffice Addon setup which will install the WebSign automatically or you can install it manually:

 

Copy SOWebSign.ocx into the eSignatureOffice Folder (C:\Program Files\StepOver\eSignatureOffice4).
Afterwards you have to register the OCX file by using regsvr32.exe (included in Windows). Type "regsvr32 SOWebSign.ocx" in command line.

If the error "the module "SOWebSign.ocx" was loaded but the call to DllRegisterService failed with error code 0x80004005" occurs, you have not the right to install the OCX.

Open the start menu and type "cmd" into the search box Hold "Ctrl" + "Shift" and press "Enter".This runs the Command Prompt in Administrator mode. Now type "regsvr32 SOWebSign.ocx"

Create the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\StepOver\eSignatureOffice\InstallDir
InstallDir is a String Key.
Then you have to write the full path to SOSigOffice.exe into the key InstallDir (e.g. "C:\Projects\StepOver\StepOver eSignature Office\SOSigOffice.exe")
